Rules

If you fail to observe the following rules, your entry may be disqualified. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

What are the eligibility requirements?

All participants must be between the ages of 13-19 and must be currently attending a High School.

Student ID cards will be requested upon entering Stage 2 of the competition.

Copyright infringement is against the law and it is not tolerated.

Work submitted to Youthful Innovation remains your intellectual property.

Upon completion of the contest, the winning design is licensed to Youthful Innovation exclusively (meaning you may not license your content to anyone else in addition to Youthful Innovation), fully-paid and royalty-free (meaning that Youthful Innovation is not required to pay you or anyone else deriving rights from you for the content that you submit).

May I use open-source tools on my website?

The use of open-source works is permitted as long as proper credit is given.

Are templates allowed?

Templates are forbidden in Stage 1 of the competition.

Free templates may be used for Stage 2 as long as they are highly customized and you provide us with the original template link.

Purchased templates and the use of template editors, such as iWeb, are not allowed.

How original does the work have to be?

All work, except for open-source projects and templates, must be your 100% of own.
